With just 3 days left until the start of the season, things are pretty hectic in the Kozzy household.

The new format to my competition, run in the Global (English) forum, has created a huge number of entrants, and this season's game looks like it could be the biggest one to date.

471 teams, from 86 different HT nations, have already signed up for season 53, and with the usual mad rush in the last few days, I'm sure I will break all previous records.

Italy 43 entrants, and Germany 37 entrants are the biggest nations involved, but it would be great for me to have teams from every hattrick nation.

So if you fancy your chances, and want a little bit of excitement alongside your weekly hattrick league matches, then please pop over to the thread in Global (English) (16340335.1) and sign yourself in.

512 players entered last season, from 64 different HT countries with Manchester Devils (463223) from Luxembourg winning the whole competition, beating 1.FC Liberty (1682162) from the Czech Republic in the final.

Both teams are back again this season, and both will be hoping to emulate their performances from last season.

However this season it could be you.

The deadline for sign up's is Friday 6th September 2013 @ 23.59pm, as the competition will begin the following day.

The competition is open to both 1st teams and 2nd teams.

The rules for season 53

Each team that enters the competition has to choose 5 of their own players, to represent them in the competition.

You need to grade them 1 to 5, in terms of which player you think will score the most goals for your team in your league matches for the season.

So using this as an example:

1 - Player A name [playerid=xxxxxxxxx]
2 - Player B name [playerid=xxxxxxxxx]
3 - Player C name [playerid=xxxxxxxxx]
4 - Player D name [playerid=xxxxxxxxx]
5 - Player E name [playerid=xxxxxxxxx]

Once the competition begins, I collate the scores every week using this simple scoring method.

For every goal player A scores in your league match, he will score 5 times that number towards your team’s weekly total in the competition.

So if he scores 2 goals in week 1's league match, he will score 10 points towards your total for that week, with player B scoring 4 x his goal tally, player C 3 x his tally, player D 2 x and player E scoring 1 x their tally.

However if you play a BOT team in the league, or have a walkover, (this does not include owner-less teams, who are about to become a BOT) you will score a default total of 7 points for that week.

Your team will then have a points total for that week’s league game, and this will be the total points scored for the same week of the competition.

The format for season 53 will be different than in previous season's.

(there is however still no limit to the amount of players)

Week 1 to Week 7.

All teams will score points, (as detailed above) on a weekly basis. A table will be produced, each week, once the weekend's fixtures are over. However any team scoring 0 points, in any of the 7 weeks, will automatically be eliminated from the competition, so this season, you need to score points every week, to have any chance of winning the competition.

Week 8 onwards.

All teams still left in the competition will progress to week 8, however following week 8's matches the teams with the lowest 3 scores, will be eliminated.

This process will continue until week 14, when the team with the highest score in week 14 will be crowned champion.

If 2 or more teams get the highest points total in the final week, the team that has scored the most points throughout the 14 week competition, will be crowned the winner.

Substitutions.

All entrants are not restricted to the 5 players chosen at the beginning of the competition.

You are able to make weekly changes to your 5 players.

You simply need to post your new line up, in the game forum, before the weekly deadline which is always on a (Friday @ 23.59pm HT Time)
